Match it well: the brain bends. Match it badly: it does not. Same logic. Different floor. Match the brain to a hard problem: brain bends. Give it a stressful job it does not engage with: brain refuses. Person burns out. RIGHT ASSIGNMENT "This is interesting. I see four approaches." → Output is excellent. WRONG ASSIGNMENT ! "I cannot make myself start. Again." → Person burns out. Match is not a soft skill. It is a mechanism. It either fires or it does not. A trained manager could route around this. Most managers are not trained for it. HR job ads do not screen for it. So the brain becomes the problem, instead of the floor. The brain has not changed. The floor has changed many times.
